Be a Part of the Applause

Our non-singing associates/volunteers are an integral part of Nashville Singers. Volunteers play a key role in almost every aspect of chorus operations, and people of all ages and backgrounds are needed and welcome. You can contribute your time, talent, and service in many ways, including:

• ushers for concerts
• special events
• social activities
• concert production
• public relations & marketing
• fundraising and development
• general assistance/office

Some jobs take a couple of hours each week, and others a couple of hours a month. Some have specific deadlines and others are ongoing. We'll find the job to match your skills and the time you have to give.

Nashville Singers needs you! Even if you can't, don't, or won't sing, there's a place for you in the organization. Call or email us, and at the next concert the applause will be for you too!

Event Specific Needs (Fall/Holiday Concert, scheduled for November 19, 2011 - Location TBD)

• Box Office  (handle ticket sales and will call at the concert )
• CD Sales Booth (set up tables and display, sell merchandise at the concert)
• Guest Artist Coordinator/Host or Hostess (attend one pre-concert meeting, be available to help before, during and after the concert)
• Makeup (help before the concert)
• Head of Stage Crew (attend a few pre-concert meetings, plus be available to help to help with load in and tear down the day of the concert)
• Lighting Designer/Operator (attend one pre-concert meeting, plus be available to help help with load in, operation, and tear down the day of the concert)
• Set Design (attend one pre-concert meeting, set design and construction, plus be available to help with load in and tear down the day of the concert)
• Stage Crew (attend one pre-concert meeting, plus be available to help with load, during event, and tear down the day of the concert)
• Still Photographer (attend one pre-concert meeting, provide your own equipment, plus be available to shoot (digital) stills during the sound check and concert)
• Street Team Marketers (attend one pre-concert meeting, plus be available to hand out, deliver posters, flyers, and postcards for one day the week of November 13, 2010)
• Ushers (hand out programs and door prize entry forms, escort people to their seats, and retrieve entry forms the night of the concert)

• Graphic Design (various logos, design of our event program)
• Social Media Marketing (add fans and friends to our Facebook pages, increase followers to our Twitter account and connections to LinkedIn to build awareness, promote events, attract membership, and increase mailing list)
